These socks are made in Ballinrobe, a small town near Lough Mask in the West of Ireland. This unique style of sock was orginally developed and manufactured by a family owned business (Irish Cottage Socks). For three generations they have used century-old traditional manufacturing methods and blending quality natural wool and thermal fibres for comfort. Colours are selected to reflect the natural moods and seasonal shades of the Irish countryside.
The Irish Cottage with its thick walls, small windows, and thatch roof, is warm in winter and cool in summer. The Irish Cottage Socks have the same insulating quality that makes them an excellent sock for hiking or for everyday wear. With their wool, cotton, and thermal fibre content, they will keep feet warm in winter and cool in summer.
