Deep in the Halloween woods, even the trees grow something a little unusual...
This wonderfully whimsical one-of-a-kind pottery mug features a gnarled black tree stretching its branches across a creamy white background, with mischievous jack-o'-lantern faces appearing amongst its limbs like peculiar little pieces of Halloween fruit.
Loose, expressive brushwork gives the scene the feeling of an illustration from an old spooky storybook, while flashes of fiery orange bring the pumpkins to life against the otherwise monochromatic design. A softly rounded shape and four tiny feet add even more personality to this charmingly peculiar piece.
