Saltwater Pewter
Here at Saltwater Pewter Studio, being inspired is easy with Newfoundland's culture and heritage. Icebergs, whales, cod fish, puffins, berries, historic sites, rugged coastlines and our wonderful and colourful dialect and people... no wonder the ideas never end!
The pewter used in all of our creations is a lead-free alloy known as "fine pewter". Fine pewter will not tarnish but may lose a little bit of its brightness with age. If it does, you can bring out the highlights again by using a silver cloth.
Pewter is a low melting alloy and should not be exposed to direct heat. It is also a soft metal and should be cared for to avoid denting and scratching.
