The Detroit Red Wings, known to fans as the Wings, are one of the “Original Six” NHL teams. Founded in 1926, the team was known as the Detroit Cougars until 1930. For the 1930–31 and 1931–32 seasons, the team was named the Detroit Falcons, before changing their name to the Red Wings in 1932. The Wings played their first game on November 18, 1926, and have won 11 Stanley Cup® Championships. The date of their first game as the Red Wings and the number of Stanley Cup® Championship victories has been used to create the thread counts (width of lines) within the weave of this original tartan design: 11-18-19-26-11.

Lambswool is considered the highest quality of sheep's wool on the market. Taken from a sheep at its first shearing, lambswool is incredibly soft, smooth, resilient and has superior elasticity. The unique weaving process generates air pockets that retain heat while preventing moisture. Along with being natural, breathable and hypoallergenic, our lambswool can be worn comfortably against the skin.

Wear your favourite tartan design all year round! Measures approximately 12″ wide, scarf length at least 56″ long with a 3″ fringe on either end.
